Pearl Jam

I feel like the old guy when I talk about the boom of the early '90's era Seattle Music Scene. Most of the kids who started listening to it were in Junior High or High School. Here I was in my early 20's and all of my friends were (and still are it seems) listening to the Glam bands of the '80's: Poison, Cinderella, Motley Crue, AC/DC and Def Leppard. I was first exposed to Alternative/Grunge from hearing Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit on the radio. I loved how unpolished they sounded. Watching their video's on MTV, I also noticed they were not Glam. No Big Hair or Leather Pants. I really liked this Grunge stuff and heard Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and more playing on my local Alt Rock Station. This was before the internet and YouTube so it was only on the radio that you would find this music. Nirvana's Nevermind was the first CD that I ever purchased. Look Ma, No Wires!

We have this great fireplace that the previous owners mounted their TV above. We decided that we’d hang ours there too, especially since there were a few sets of holes from different brackets and our TV would just hide it all. We mounted the 55” TV and placed a sound bar below it but...the outlets! There was one on each wall on the sides not even the same wall! Outlets on each side wall. I decided the easiest thing would be to tap into the wall switch for the fireplace outlet I didn’t want to connect to the outlet because it is switched for the fireplace fan. Connecting directly to the switch allowed for uninterrupted power and no inadvertent flip of the switch and loss of power. I used a circular saw set to the depth of the drywall so I could cut out an access hole it’s easier to cut one long piece than small holes because you can screw the piece right back onto the studs to close it back up. Yellowstone River

I plan on fishing the Yellowstone River sometime. Here are some tips I've gleaned from the fabulous interwebz... Plan to fish during peak fly fishing season. Summer is best but July and august in Montana are the best months for fly fishing. June can be too soon to fish with the Yellowstone being one of the last to clear up from the Spring runoff. There are other rivers to try this time of year such as the Boulder, Stillwater, Gallatin or Madison. You don't need to wake up at dawn and stay up til dark. Most guide trips run from 9AM to 5PM. May, specifically the Mother's Day Caddis Hatch begins with fishing opportunities for all skill levels. Fishing the Yellowstone River can last well into September but dinner time for the fish is about 1-4 PM. Here is a map of the Yellowstone River access points .
