Sunset, UT - Jerry Lee Stoker, 66, passed away suddenly on April 24, 2015 of an aortic aneurysm.
 
Jerry was born December 11, 1948 in Nyssa, OR to Ivan John and Grace Thomas Stoker. He was raised and attended schools in Roy, UT. He married Joanne Kanno on January 8, 1967. Together they had two children, Jeff and Jennifer. They later divorced. 
 
Jerry married Maria Rosario on August 20, 1994 and grew his family with 8 step children: Justo, AnnMarie, Michael, Nicholas, Erika, Christine, Victor and Enrique.
 
Jerry was a Quartermaster in the US Army and spent a tour in Vietnam in 1967-68. He also served in the Army Reserves and Utah National Guard as an Artillery Crew Sergeant. He worked many years for the government retiring from DDO Ogden. 
 
Dad enjoyed the outdoors and spent many weekends exploring our great state from the mountains to the deserts. He taught us how to camp, fish, hunt, backpack and love the wilderness. He cared for and restored his collections of antique guns and radios and spent time building and working with computers.  He also loved his many motorcycles and sail boats. He was passionate about music and was an avid reader. 

Dad made friends easily and spent much of his time with his family, often visiting his mother, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

 He is survived by his wife Maria; mother Grace; son Jeff (Tonya) Stoker, daughter Jennifer (Eric) Halbrittergrandchildren Julianne, Denise, Joshua, Katelyn and Madelyn; great grandchildren Kensley and Bryson; and sisters Karen, Mariann and Darla.
 
He was preceded in death by his father Ivan; brothers John and David; 2 nieces; 1 great-niece; and 1 nephew.
 
A Memorial Gathering will be held at 6PM on May 1, 2015 at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, Utah with Military Honors accorded promptly at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Myers Mortuary.
